How it sounds
This set combines the voicing marks with blends. ジャ, ジュ, ジョ are ja as in jar, ju as in juice, and jo as in joke. ギャ is gya, ビャ is bya, and ピャ is pya. In katakana, ジャ ジュ ジョ do the work; ヂャ ヂュ ヂョ are next to unseen.

Easy to mix up
ジャ, ジュ, and ジョ are everywhere: ジャム, ジュース, ジョギング. These are the blends to drill first.
